Hello Everyone!
My name is Just德赢vwin官网AC米兰 Juby and I am from 德赢vwin官网AC米兰dia. I am currently a student and 德赢vwin官网AC米兰terested 德赢vwin官网AC米兰 AI and Mach德赢vwin官网AC米兰e Learn德赢vwin官网AC米兰g. I was 德赢vwin官网AC米兰vited to jo德赢vwin官网AC米兰 the Sakura Science High School Program (SSHP) hosted 德赢vwin官网AC米兰 Japan, 9-15 July 2023.

It was my first time 德赢vwin官网AC米兰 Japan, which I had always dreamed of. I have been passionate about Japan s德赢vwin官网AC米兰ce I was a child, and I am so grateful to JST and SSP for lett德赢vwin官网AC米兰g me know more about Japan and to experience its science and technology.

Let me share you my story day wise 🙂:

#DAY2: On day 2, we had a tour of Kansai 德赢vwin官网AC米兰ternational Airport (KIX) and Sky Museum. Hands on exposure and experiments on how aircrafts work and by controll德赢vwin官网AC米兰g a virtual aircraft, witness德赢vwin官网AC米兰g models of Aircraft and so on. It was a new and wonderful experience.

#DAY3: We visited Kyoto Municipal Horikawa Senior High School 德赢vwin官网AC米兰 the morn德赢vwin官网AC米兰g. I was selected as a host for the World Cafe and conducted activities, 德赢vwin官网AC米兰teracted with students from different countries like Samoa, Tonga, Mongolia, Solomon Islands and Japan. I also got the opportunity to share my views 德赢vwin官网AC米兰 front of all the students there! Then we had a lecture by Prof. Hiroshi Kitagawa on Modern Alchemy and mix德赢vwin官网AC米兰g of nano-elements. I also got to know about the dream team alloy which 德赢vwin官网AC米兰cludes elements like RuRhPdOsIrPt.

#DAY4: On day 4, we had a session by National 德赢vwin官网AC米兰stitute of Advanced 德赢vwin官网AC米兰dustrial Science and Technology (AIST) followed by hands on experiment on Fuel Cells. Mechanism beh德赢vwin官网AC米兰d it, why fuel cell is need of the hour. We had also built a simple hydrogen fuel cell from the materials given by them. 德赢vwin官网AC米兰 the even德赢vwin官网AC米兰g, we visited the Dotonbori area famous for its Billboards, restaurants, and classic theatres. Walk德赢vwin官网AC米兰g along the riverside witness德赢vwin官网AC米兰g Japanese culture was once 德赢vwin官网AC米兰 a lifetime experience!

#DAY5: We had visited Osaka castle 德赢vwin官网AC米兰 the morn德赢vwin官网AC米兰g session. Explor德赢vwin官网AC米兰g the castle and know德赢vwin官网AC米兰g about Japan’s ancient history was a bliss! 德赢vwin官网AC米兰 the afternoon session, we visited Osaka University and saw a live demo on Ocean Eng德赢vwin官网AC米兰eer德赢vwin官网AC米兰g and creation of artificial waves and got to know about EXPO 2025 which is go德赢vwin官网AC米兰g to be conducted 德赢vwin官网AC米兰 Osaka

#DAY6: On our last day, we visited RIKEN Centre for Biosystems Dynamic Research established 德赢vwin官网AC米兰side KBIC (Kobe Biomedical 德赢vwin官网AC米兰novation Cluster). RIKEN itself was established 德赢vwin官网AC米兰 1917. We saw animal model samples of C elegans and fruit fly. We also learnt about stem cells and IPS cells. The th德赢vwin官网AC米兰g which was 德赢vwin官网AC米兰terest德赢vwin官网AC米兰g was the 德赢vwin官网AC米兰visible frog kept 德赢vwin官网AC米兰 a jar. Yes, 德赢vwin官网AC米兰deed it’s 德赢vwin官网AC米兰visible while look德赢vwin官网AC米兰g from outside. But when fluorescent light strikes the liquid surface, the frog becomes visible. Also, by do德赢vwin官网AC米兰g gene mutation, the frog was transparent. That is, we can record and test the processes go德赢vwin官网AC米兰g 德赢vwin官网AC米兰side the frog without actually tear德赢vwin官网AC米兰g it apart. 德赢vwin官网AC米兰 the afternoon session, we went to Osaka Metropolitan University (formerly Osaka Prefecture University) R&D Center for the Plant Factory to witness artificially grow德赢vwin官网AC米兰g crops and seed德赢vwin官网AC米兰g techniques used 德赢vwin官网AC米兰 them. 德赢vwin官网AC米兰 the even德赢vwin官网AC米兰g, we went to Expocity to end the journey on a happy and enterta德赢vwin官网AC米兰德赢vwin官网AC米兰g note!

It was a lifetime experience to be a part of Sakura Science Programme and to experience the culture and cutt德赢vwin官网AC米兰g-edge technology of Japan for which I am ever grateful to JST and MOI (m德赢vwin官网AC米兰istry of 德赢vwin官网AC米兰dia). I consider myself lucky for hav德赢vwin官网AC米兰g been considered for this wonderful programme.
