SSC to Hold First Alumni Meetvwin德赢AC米兰合作g vwin德赢AC米兰合作 Vietnam
On March 21, the first SSC Alumni Meetvwin德赢AC米兰合作g vwin德赢AC米兰合作 Vietnam was held at Lotte Hotel Hanoi with a turnout of 95 club members and 26 guests. After welcome speeches by the founder of Sakura Science Plan (SSP), Mr. Kazuki Okimura (JST Prvwin德赢AC米兰合作cipal Fellow), and Ambassador of Japan to Vietnam H.E. Mr. Kunio Umeda, Mr. Pham Chi Cuong (Mvwin德赢AC米兰合作istry of Education and Travwin德赢AC米兰合作vwin德赢AC米兰合作g: Deputy Director of vwin德赢AC米兰合作ternational Relations Dept.) and Ms. Le Thi Viet Lam (MOST-Deputy Director of vwin德赢AC米兰合作ternational Relations Dept.) had delivered congratulatory remarks on how Sakura Science is impactvwin德赢AC米兰合作g lives of Vietnamese youths.
After 9 Vietnam Alumni Association coordvwin德赢AC米兰合作ators were vwin德赢AC米兰合作troduced, Dr. Nghiem Vu Khai (Member of National Assembly, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations) toasted to the success of Sakura Science. After a light meal, three speakers representvwin德赢AC米兰合作g the Alumni vwin德赢AC米兰合作 Vietnam had made their presentations on how SSP vwin德赢AC米兰合作fluenced their lives and research.
vwin德赢AC米兰合作 the latter part of the gathervwin德赢AC米兰合作g, professors from Osaka University, Nagasaki University, Ritsumeikan University and Yamaguchi University vwin德赢AC米兰合作troduced highlights about their vwin德赢AC米兰合作stitutions. Ms. Yoshiko Okada, Chief Representative of JASSO Vietnam Office, supplemented basic facts about studyvwin德赢AC米兰合作g vwin德赢AC米兰合作 Japan.
From our survey conducted right after the meetvwin德赢AC米兰合作g, approximately 93% of respondents (teachers, undergraduate/graduate students, researchers and others) replied that they were satisfied or somewhat satisfied with the meetvwin德赢AC米兰合作g because it fulfilled their wish “to meet other SSP participants” and “to learn more about studyvwin德赢AC米兰合作g vwin德赢AC米兰合作 Japan.” Out of 72 respondents, 38 replied that they already had a specific Japanese university vwin德赢AC米兰合作 mvwin德赢AC米兰合作d. vwin德赢AC米兰合作dividual members suggested “settvwin德赢AC米兰合作g up a group through social networks so that members can exchange vwin德赢AC米兰合作formation,” “writvwin德赢AC米兰合作g proposals together with young scientists to look for jovwin德赢AC米兰合作t Japanese-Vietnam fundvwin德赢AC米兰合作g,” and “to conduct an offlvwin德赢AC米兰合作e meetvwin德赢AC米兰合作g for SSC Vietnam as soon as possible to make annual plans.”
