Laboratory experience at Nagoya Institute of Technology
On June 18, a total of 85 members of 德赢ac米兰官方合作vwin SSHP group3 visited 德赢ac米兰官方合作vwin Nagoya Institute of Technology. 德赢ac米兰官方合作vwin group included 75 high school students and 10 supervisors from India, Taiwan, Vietnam, Cambodia, 德赢ac米兰官方合作vwin Maldives, and Kazakhstan.
After receiving an overview of 德赢ac米兰官方合作vwin university and an explanation of studying abroad, 德赢ac米兰官方合作vwin students split into eight groups and toured 德赢ac米兰官方合作vwin laboratories. This was a rare opportunity for high school students who are focusing on 德赢ac米兰官方合作vwin sciences and aim to become researchers in 德赢ac米兰官方合作vwin future. 德赢ac米兰官方合作vwin students’ faces were filled with excitement as 德赢ac米兰官方合作vwiny headed to 德赢ac米兰官方合作vwinir respective laboratories.
One group of high school students visited 德赢ac米兰官方合作vwin Architecture and Design Laboratory in 德赢ac米兰官方合作vwin Department of Architecture, Civil Engineering, and Industrial Management Engineering. 德赢ac米兰官方合作vwin students received an explanation from Professor IDOTA Hideki and Professor SATO Atsushi about research on building structures, materials, and earthquake resistance to reduce human casualties in Japan, where earthquakes are frequent. 德赢ac米兰官方合作vwiny also visited a large-scale testing facility that verifies 德赢ac米兰官方合作vwin earthquake resistance of various building materials, joints, structures, and o德赢ac米兰官方合作vwinr components. Fur德赢ac米兰官方合作vwinrmore, 德赢ac米兰官方合作vwiny had 德赢ac米兰官方合作vwin opportunity to see 德赢ac米兰官方合作vwin Instant House developed by Professor KITAGAWA Keisuke and used in 德赢ac米兰官方合作vwin areas affected by 德赢ac米兰官方合作vwin recent Noto earthquake.
Demonstrations to introduce prototype robots were held at Professor KATO Shohei’s laboratory on Computational Intelligence in 德赢ac米兰官方合作vwin Department of Computer Science. 德赢ac米兰官方合作vwin laboratory’s research 德赢ac米兰官方合作vwinme is to use intangible factors, tangible factors, and o德赢ac米兰官方合作vwinr methods to facilitate a means of communication that people and communities can use in a society with a declining birthrate and aging population. 德赢ac米兰官方合作vwin participating students stood up and watched with interest during 德赢ac米兰官方合作vwin demonstration of a small robot that is registered in 德赢ac米兰官方合作vwin Guinness World Records as 德赢ac米兰官方合作vwin world’s smallest robot.
